The Park

The actual caravan park stands on two grassy fields, which are approached by a pleasant drive through open farmland from the main road.

The park is attractively landscaped with shrubs and plants and is adjoined by woodland, with small streams meandering through it. It is a haven for wildlife and offers peace and tranquillity - a chance to relax. It is an ideal setting for leisurely walks through beautiful unspoilt countryside.

The park is open from 1st MARCH until 31st OCTOBER.

"Really want to do a shout out to the fabulous site we just stayed in at Barnard Castle, Hetherick Caravan park, everything about the site and the area was brilliant! The facilities were spotless (you need a 20 coin for a shower!), the pitches were spacious and easy to access, the owner was absolutely lovely, laid back and thoughtful to a lady travelling alone with three kids! Lovely play park for the children, I almost forgot I had them!

The area was gorgeous, I wanted to visit High Force for ages so managed to tick that off the list and Barnard Castle is a gorgeous little market town! Will definitely be back!"

"Well I found this site by pure accident.. ha don't ask.. ended up buying a static from the lovely Julie who has been more than welcoming and very helpful. Had a few hours at the site today. All residents are very pleasant and my daughter has made friends already. Cant wait to officially be there. I think I have found sanctuary xxxx".

"Lot of nice folk on site. The owners are smashing people. Very hard working, look after the site, very approachable and pleasant. Washing machines and large tumble dryer. Toilets and showers. These areas well looked after. Play area. Pond with fish, last season ducks, water hens & ducklings. Also we have a dog walking area. Have been on site since 2006. LOVE IT. Can't wait till this Season begins. Made some lovely friends. I say give it a try and enjoy it.

"just back home from 4 nights camping lovely park this is 4 years we been going now. Great job by the  staff  site clean and loads antibacterial hand sanitiser to use and clean toilet block well done to you all. and love to see the  animals!"

"just back from  a 4 day 3 night camping trip here. First time using this site and what a little hidden gem it is excellent site kids didn't wanna leave ha lovely big pitch right next to play park for the kids. we've had bad weather but didn't stop them loving life. excellent site very friendly owners definitely returning in a few weeks already planning our next trip here."
